Jack Morikka
Researcher, Joint WP3 Lead
Tampere University
Jack Morikka is a postdoctoral researcher and GLP study director at FHAIVE, Tampere University, with over a decade of experience in molecular biology, metabolomics, and toxicogenomics. His research lies at the interface of experimental in vitro model development and bioinformatics. Having worked across multiple national Centres of Excellence and within large European consortia, Jack’s work increasingly addresses the urgent need for regulatory-ready, sustainable, and high-throughput New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) that reduce reliance on animal testing while improving mechanistic, human-relevant insight and predictive power. Within Data-Inductor, Jack aims to translate cutting-edge academic science into regulatory ready practical tools, while generating in silico approaches to derisk clinical pipelines and aid refined selection of human in vitro models. Alongside his research, he is committed to mentoring students and working with stakeholders at all levels to foster interdisciplinary skillsets that bridge biology, data science, and regulatory toxicology.
